Chow Chow

    Chow Chow or Chinese Lion is very distinguished dog by appearance but Chow Chow also have some other specific characteristics. Chow Chow has black tongue  and straight back legs which looks like they walking like on a straight rope.

   Their color usually cream tones, brown, reddish but can be black and white too.

    Chow Chow's origin is China. It is not clear when first they appeared. Chow Chows have 2 types. One long and rough haired and one considerably short and smooth haired.

     Chow Chow can be suitable in apartments if enough exercise given. A small garden also can be enough. They are sensitive to heat. If necessary Cho Chow can live outside too.


     They can get lazy easily. So you need to put some exercise on him time to time. It can be short walks. They also need regular grooming for their hairs. Otherwise their hair will not look good and straight. This breed in seasons can shed a lot. Their underlayer fur need good grooming. You can use dry shampoos for that.

   Chow Chows generally calm dogs but can be very stubborn and dominant sometimes.  Serious, stubborn and free temper can be seen. They usually attach one person and protective against others. They can be seen    distant to other family members but they are loyal to them. They are little bit dominant so they need dominant owners. The owners must be natural, calm, consistent. With this kind of owner they can find their real character. You should not expect too much obedience from them.  They are naturally stubborn and has specific characters from birth. They can learn. They are trainable but commands must have meanings. They should know it. They should know there is purpose of commands. You must be consistent always.

    Some experts claims short haired ones more trainable and active. In spite of their unruly temper, in fact they are calm, polite and patient breed. They can show dominance to other dogs. Chow Chow is good with kids. Most of them will not like collars and leashes. If they grown with cats it will also not be a problem. When they are young (2-4 old) must be socialized well to be not very dominant and bad behavior or over protective. From the beginning Chow Chow need consistent training. Their character depends on it .

   In China they used for protection and dragging carts. Also for their meat and fur. Some says this sad past made Chow Chows character like this only obedient to one owner and withdrawn. Maybe that is why they are like not caring much and withdrawn who knows. But they can be very good family dogs if trained very well.

   Their structure looks like old dog fossils from millions years ago.Chow Chow knowns in China for thousands years as watcher, cart dragger, as protector of ships,...At past Chow Chow used in wolf, patridge hunts also as cart dragging dog. Chow Chows fur used to make jackets. This breeds meats are a food type in China even now. This beautiful breed Chow Chow brought to England in end of 1800s.  Their name probably came from a term used in English for the anything from Asia 'chow-chow'. Chow Chow is popular companion dog in America now in spite of their protection and watch dog features..

      Yudisthira Swarga animal foundation in Bali. Yudisthira is first foundation founded in Bali for street dogs in 1998.

       In Bali there are too many street dogs and because of influences of foreigners and tourism an epidemic problem entered this island. Yudisthira also took its part to help to solve this and other problems about street dogs.

       Many people try to help street dogs but usually they do not know where to go. You can not go to clinics or practitioners because it will be not free of charge naturally. So where to go. I suggest you to bring that dog or cat you found on streets to foundation. There are other foundations similar to Yudisthira but I suggest you apply to this one because of some reason.

Problems into way of thinking west expats

Expats really knows where they live in?

I read a post on facebook a year ago maybe and article written by so called intellectual, artist, hi-class person about kid beggars on the streets of Bali. The thing is not this problem, the thing is i want to talk those foreigners including hi profile to low profile they do not have any idea where they live in what is this east asian country all about and way of their thinking etc....

That person (i do not want to give his name) was saying those kids from Bali while 99 percent of them from outside of the island. the thing is here this person living here for more than 3 decades and he is not even aware of that. This indicate us something.

Same thing about few years ago governor banned a video film about Bali beaches and its surfing teachers (locals) and same thing there was. The movie maker was saying those people (bali cowboys) were Balinese while again most of them are not Balinese in fact but the outsiders(people like from Jawa or other islands came to island for work or better life etc.). I do not accuse any people here from their acts. But the thing lay behind their mind.

Or another one I seen on youtube while I searching something about island. The guy saying traffic polices ask bribes from tourism who rent bike and saying renting person not asking from them licenses. It is funny because this is not the way justice or law works. If they not ask you license then do not take it it is that simple. Or if someone ask bribe it is easy just do not give it. I am agree corrupted and bribery common here but your point of view is very strange. Those foreigners also make aa lot of money by corruption here. Most of villas are on greenbelts which supposed to be green areas. Or an extreme sample is about wine production stolen by foreigner guy which given to farmers as grant by government to improve farmers as subsidy and same guy in kind of foundation talking about cleaning beaches.

Those foundation even more dramatic for me at least. Those guys talking about bad locals and islands while they taking a lot of donations and make money from villas etc..

So what you suggest? Should not we talk about problems? No you can talk about problems. But the difference between you talk with your friend about it on cafes and publish it on media every single day. those two different thing. Plus I also complain for example about traffic but I can not solve that problem if someone give me responsibility nor you can not.It is a big job which a lot of engineers etc.. should involve.

Plus let me tell you , you can not even try the same thing into so called democracy places west countries. For example go to holland and publish a newspaper and talk about their royal family morning and evening every single day, for example say why the heck there is a monarchy like structure here. And see what happens...Those kind of things nothing to do with lawyers , judge it is government to government things(g2g).

Also i seen a few blogs written here by expats. Mostly talking about their citizens in jail here and most of them drug dealers. Very strangely they kind of defending them and ask pity all the time. While they talking about police or money changer who overcharge them 3-5 dollars on streets and their people was earning millions from villas or stolen projects like winery which can be millions of dollars.

And in same blog the guy talking about hookers and aids and they not properly checking health controls. If you go only around Kuta area and live around there and thinking only this place is Bali then sorry. I know even most of island locals do not even know where this place is and never been there while you never quit from there. And this guy writing something about this island like authority. Wow impressive ..

This is Hippocratic. It reminds me opium wars in china. Once i read a historian the English one and he was saying UK has no guilty and all happened because of corrupted Chinese officer which is ridiculous claim . Or  I just watched movie called "Lincoln" about American civil war and it shows the war like north angels try to save blacks from slavery which is in fact nothing to do with real reason. Real reason was economy and cheap work forces etc..

If you live here involve to locals and their lifes they will not hurt you do not worry..while you living here a lot of years long and still not even seen a real village or been in a visit of a regular local families house.It is a big sorry for you. Plus those foundations ...non of them are competent people about the field what they doing...because of those people westerner does not mean they are competent about everything.For example i expect a pedagogy studied person for a kid foundation instead of dealer of craft or something...

Which browser is best?

In history of internet there was browser wars and believe or not internet explorer (i.e.) was not the major browser at the beginning. A browser called netscape was major browser dominated internet once upon a time. Later on internet explorer took a place and got markets more than 90 percent for long time until around 2003.

After that year mozilla firefox and google chrome joined competition. In fact firefox is old netscape anyway. Because mozilla firefox derived from  netscape navigator. If you ask me which one you should use. I would suggest you to use chrome because it is always up to date and some other better features.


Why is it important? I meant choose browser. Because if you know little bit about web development you will see the difference. Other browsers can not display sometimes web pages properly because they are not uptodate frequently. But people still using other browsers and it gives programmers (web developers can be called kind of programmer too) some problems and they must use extra codes to fix problems into other browsers and for their users to show web pages properly and same in their browsers too.

By the way google chrome and most of browsers use mozilla's engine ( gecko  engine ) usually which is open source product. Google also have open source version which called Google Chromium if you like to use. but set it up can be a headache for you if you do not have any idea about technical things.
