Chow Chow's origin is China. It is not clear when first they appeared. Chow Chows have 2 types. One long and rough haired and one considerably short and smooth haired.

Chow Chow is good with kids. Most of them will not like collars and leashes. If they grown with cats it will also not be a problem. When they are young (2-4 old) must be socialized well to be not very dominant and bad behavior or over protective. From the beginning Chow Chow need consistent training.
