Alaskan Malamute

Alaskan Malamute is mostly mixed up with Siberian Husky because their similarities. You can distinguish differences easily with their body, legs and even face more thicker and smoother than Siberian Husky. Also their temperament is different than Siberian Husky. Maybe only similarity is their colors and marks and they both husky type dog. Alaskan Malamute considerably popular dog and big dog . Alaskan Malamute is in working dog group. They used and still using as a sled dog.

Alaskan Malamute is not suit for apartment life. You have to have a big yard and fences. The fences also must be digged deep because Alaskan Malamute has high instinct for digging. So they can easily dig fences and make for themselves to quit from yard. They are quiet active dogs but when they getting old they can get calmer. This is also another different between them and Siberian Husky. Alaskan Malamute is loyal dog and they like to patrol in the filed which they believe it is belong to them. Their coat quiet thick and double coat. It defends them from arctic cold. In the hot weather conditions it is a disadvantage for them. So you have to have some places for them with shadows and even cold water.

Alaskan Malamute has big, strong and heavy body size dog breed. Their coat quiet dense and need to be brushed twice a week. They shed heavily and twice they change their coat. No need to wash them because they shed a lot and dirty hairs will be gone.
